Call for paper

The organizing committee warmly invites you to participate in the upcoming 5th KURT SCHWABE SYMPOSIUM in ELECTROCHEMISTRY to be held at the residence of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Erlangen, Germany, MAY 24-28, 2009.

The major aim of the symposium is to bring together experts from different scientific fields, CORROSION, SEMICONDUCTORS and SOLAR CELLS, to present and discuss work that will enhance our understanding of electrochemistry in materials science. Papers are solicited in a) areas related to materials durability issues, in particular all aspects of corrosion and corrosion protection, b) electrochemical surface engineering techniques with the potential to achieve 2D or 3D nano- and micro-architectures either via dissolution or deposition approaches such as site selective cluster formation, selective dissolution/deposition, pore formation, nanorod/ nanotube growth and etching, and other self-aligning processes; and c) their applications in particular to energy conversion devices such as solar cells.

We look forward to having you share your latest ideas and results with us and to welcome you in Erlangen.

The abstract submission, registration and accommodation sites are now open at Externer Link: www.kscs2009.uni-erlangen.de
The deadline for abstract submission will be December 30, 2008.

For more detailed information, please refer to our conference web page or to our conference e-mail, KSCS2009@ww.uni-erlangen.de,
where your questions or comments will be considered by our conference secretary, Julia Kunze.

Thank you very much.
Sincerely yours,
